One of the hardest and most durable stones known to man, the word “granite” comes from the Italian word “granito” meaning “grained”. Granite is a volcanic rock which contains feldspar, quartz and mica.
The varying concentration of these three minerals and the rate and temperature at which the rock has cooled produces the different rich colours and patterning of granite.
This explains why every piece of granite is unique and it is this uniqueness and durability that make the stone ideal for kitchen work surfaces, sink units, or as decorative centre pieces for dining tables.
Made in Granite offers a wide range of superior granites which have been specially selected from quarries all around the world. We offer a myriad of beautiful natural colours: the classic blue-grey marbling of Silk Blue; the shimmering silver slivers in Blue Pearl; the cool and airy Viscount White with its subtle grey veins; the elegant and sophisticated Jet Black; a whole range of warm reds and rich marbled browns.
These are just a handful of the colours to choose from.Visit our samples chart - click here
